“Volkswagen” Cheating Emissions Tests: The German Carmaker Giant may Apologize but the Damage has been Done

Volkswagen, the German car manufacturer, after beating the rival Toyota in worldwide sales, found itself amidst scandalous revelations—it has been deceitfully clearing the tests for toxic emissions in the US.

The authorities at Volkswagen didn’t refute the claims by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Michael Horn, has accepted complete responsibility and offered an apology to its customers “for breaking their trust.”

Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani: A “Radical” with “Moderate” Plans.

Hassan Rouhani, the incumbent president of Iran and a stalwart during the Iranian Green Revolution, recently wished the Jews all over the world a Happy “Rosh Hashanah,” a Jewish New Year.

Rouhani’s political campaign slogan might be “Moderation and Prudence” but this was too daring an act, especially when the diehards in his country are already wary of him.

This was unforeseen given his denunciation of Israel in the recent past and the enmity existing between Iran and Israel, in general—his predecessor, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is known to doubt the validity of Holocaust, and has endorsed the outrageous demands of “wiping Israel from the face of the Earth,” while he was in office.

Nuking Mars To Make It Habitable–A Plan That Might Just Work

Elon Musk, the brains behind Tesla Motors, has come up with a plan that is ‘quick and workable’ to overcome the challenge of making Mars sustainable for life—he suggested to drop thermonuclear bombs on its poles.  Elon shared his seemingly notorious idea while being interviewed by Stephen Colbert on his late night show—‘The Late Show’. “There is a fast way and there is a slow way, and the fast way is, dropping thermonuclear bombs on its poles,” said Musk while giving out the possible options for warming the Mars climate enough to sustain life.

After the great success with his experimentation with electric cars, Elon seems to be obsessed with trying his luck, literally, out of this world. He founded a company called ‘SpaceX’ to build the rockets for fulfillment of his dreams.

The idea of nuking Mars may appear too ambitious to be feasible, but there seems to be some science behind it. Dropping nuclear bombs on Mars will perhaps warm its climate enough to melt the huge reserves of ice on its surface, and then life can be made possible by growing plants on it.
